Abstract. Models of a loop polymerization reactor and an operator prompt for one of the most important indicators of the melt flow process have been developed. Statistical data on the operation of loop reactors of ethylene suspension polymerization, Proficy Csense Troubleshooter from General Electric, and TIA Portal V17 software environment were used for the development. A mathematical model of the reactor based on IF, THEN, ELSE rules was obtained, then the model in the form of rules was transferred as a program code in SCL language to TIA Portal V17, in which the operator prompt was implemented. Predictions of the model are within the acceptable laboratory error correlation of the training sample was 82%, and the test sample was 79%, which indicates the adequacy of the model.
